Mollie takes last for Cullen
Carrigmore Mollie showed great battling qualities to take the concluding Tom Birmingham Menswear (Pro/Am) Flat Race for trainer Michael Cullen.
Michael Doran had the 7/2 shot in front entering the straight, the pair were headed briefly by 11/8 favourite Three Monkeys inside the final furlong.
The five year old kept on well to get back and lead on line and deny the favourite by a short head.
Winning trainer Cullen said afterwards: “We’ll go for a maiden hurdle next, she is a good tough little lady.”
