Misty For Me takes opener
The opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden was won by the Aidan O’Brien trained Mist For Me in the hands of stable jockey Johnny Murtagh.
Murtagh produced the Galileo filly to lead over a furlong out and kept on well to record a length and a quarter victory over Katla
Winning trainer O’Brien said afterwards: “We’re delighted with that, we were a little worried coming back over six furlongs.”
“She was very green here the first day she ran but she learnt a lot from it.”
“She has a very good pedigree and we’ll step her seven furlongs and she’ll get further.”
O’Brien said of Mist who finished ninth: “She ran a nice race, she looks a nice filly and she came home very well.”
