Fastnet Mist gained a deserved winning bracket when justifying 11/8 favouritism in the Irish Field EBF Fillies Maiden at the Curragh.
The David Wachman-trained filly had previously filled the runner-up spot twice in maiden company and also made the frame in the Listed Oaks Trial at Naas back in June.
Wayne Lordan sent her to the front well over a furlong out, and she stayed on gamely to hold Diylawa by a neck, with Sr Cartage a further length and a half back in third.
Lordan said "She was entitled to win that. The filly that beat her in Killarney has been Listed placed twice since.
“The nine furlongs suited her but she has the pace for a mile. I’d be very hopeful that she can pick up some black type next year.”
