Miss Mary Mac takes last at Cork
The concluding race on this afternoon’s card, the Dromore Mares (Pro/Am) Flat Race saw a thrilling finish with the favourite Miss Mary Mac under Mikey O’Connor getting back up in the closing stages to deny Oilily by a head.
Fachtna Twomey who was representing his wife Lorna Casey said afterwards: “She won two point to points last Autumn and she jumps well so we will probably go hurdling next. She’s a very tough filly.”
