Mr Trinket won in Miss Amulet's colours at Dundalk this evening, landing the concluding Book Online @ DundalkStadium.com Handicap for owner Colm Griffin, trainer Mark Fahey and jockey Jack Kearney.
Mr Trinket, a son of Australia, today made a winning handicap debut rated 68 when beating Dubirango by a length and a half.
Owner Griffin enjoyed 2020 Group 2 Lowther Stakes success with Miss Amulet prior to her sale to leading owner Michael Tabor and following today's race, trainer Fahey reported "I'm delighted for Colm as he's after giving me a few horses.
"We were unlucky with one horse before but he is going the right way and had a good run in a maiden up here the last day which has worked out well. Hopefully he can go up through the ranks and see how far he can go as a handicapper."
“Jack (Kearney) is very cool and is a very good rider. He rode his last winner as a 10lb claimer for me last week and rode his first winner as a 7lb claimer this evening. I'd say he won't hold on to 7lb for too much longer.”
