Millie comes good third time
Greenhill Millie fulfilled the promise displayed with her debut second at Limerick by landing the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund/DBS Mares (Pro/Am) Flat Race under James 'Corky' Carroll.
The free-running favourite, Shuil Dearg led after about six furlongs but she had no answer to Greenhill Millie inside the final furlong and she eventually had to settle for third, beaten two lengths and three parts of a length. According To Lizzy filled the runner-up berth.
Greenhill Millie is trained by Philip Fenton and he commented: "Her run last time (5th behind Another Cliche) was very mediocre. We found no reason for that so it was very hard to be confident today. She is qualified for the final of this series in Sandown now and she could go there."
Meanwhile one more winner for 'Corky' Carroll will see his claim reduced to 5Ibs.
