Miley on the mark
County Wicklow trainer Danny Miley was in the winner’s enclosure this evening when his charge Caffeine Craze landed the Division one of the Motivate & Discounted Entry in the Evening Herald Handicap Hurdle.
Donal MacAuley who was doing the steering challenged Lobinstown Girl and Paul Carberry for the lead entering the straight.
The pair kept on well to lead from last and score by two lengths.
Winning trainer Miley said afterwards: “She battled well this evening and she stayed on very well.”
“She’s a temperamental sort so it was nice to get her to perform on the track.”
“She will stay handicapping and the further the better. We’ve schooled her over fences and she jumps well enough but she may just be caught for size.”
“She’s very versatile as in she has been placed on heavy ground and she’s won here this evening on very fast ground.”
