Mikael D'Haguenet impresses at Punchestown
Mikael D'Haguenet made it 4 in a row when winning The Abbey Electrical Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle (Grade 2) under champion jockey Ruby Walsh.
Walsh made virtually all on the Lavirco gelding, strongly pressed approaching 2 out, kept on strongly after last to win by a comfortable 7 lengths.
Winning trainer Willie Mullins said afterwards, "We decided to change tactics today as we thought there wouldn't be enough pace. His knee action was very evident today and once again would have concerns if the ground got lively at Cheltenham, if he is go there he will not have another run. Going to France is definitely on the cards and I would have no fear about bringing him back here for the Festival."
