Michelle another result for the books at Ballinrobe
Following the success of 25/1 shot The Hamptons in the opener at Ballinrobe, punters were again stung in the second when Michelle's Express at the same odds, obliged by three and a half lengths from 5/4 favourite, Galianna in the www.thetote.com Maiden Hurdle.
Davy Condon 's mount was going to win from a fair way out and once he got over the last the Oscar gelding went on to see off the J P McManus-owned (he had the first winner, The Hamptons) Galianna.
Gillian Lee trains Michelle's Express for Midleton-native but now Limerick domiciled Patrick Wallace and she said: "He got his jumping together and Davy was great on him, giving him a real confident ride. The ease in the ground helped and we're delighted. He might go for a novice hurdle now."
Michelle's Express paid 68.70 a win and 10.80 a place on the Tote.
