Michael Snee picks up 7 day ban
The Stewards interviewed Mr Shane Buggy, representing Mr Adrian Sexton trainer, in relation to a report they received from Mr Andrew McKeever Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, stating that Michael Snee intended nominated rider of One Job presented himself to weigh out at 41bs overweight.
Evidence was heard from Mr Buggy and also Michael Snee.
Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanations offered and therefore gave permission for Michael Snee to be replaced with Martin Harley in this race. Furthermore the Stewards cautioned Michael Snee in relation to his responsibilities to ride at the correct weight in future. The Stewards also found Mr Adrian Sexton to be in breach of rule 147 (V) (Failure to nominate an Authorised Rep) and fined him ?130.
The Stewards subsequently interviewed Michael Snee in relation to a further report they received from Mr Andrew McKeever Turf Club Clerk of the Scales stating that Michael Snee had attempted to weigh out with a modified Body Protector.
Evidence was heard from both parties concerned. After considering the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Michael Snee was in breech of Regulation 10 (Body Protector) and therefore suspended him for 7 race days. TBC
