Donagh Meyler doubled his score at Fairyhouse aboard odds-on favourite Where’s Frankie in the Easter Festival 16th — 18th April Handicap Hurdle.
Successful in the previous race aboard Carrig Sam for Arthur Moore, this time Meyler was doing the steering for Karl Thornton.
Like Carrig Sam, Where’s Frankie was continuing a love affair with this venue, bringing up a hat-trick at the County Meath course by a length and a quarter from the running-on Grey Habit
Eventual third Memory Of Youth had no extra to give when making a mistake at the final hurdle.
"He'll come back here on the 4th of April for a 2m6f chase and that's the plan with him. He seems to be improving well,” said Thornton.
"JD Moore bought him for me and John Barry, who has ridden plenty of winners for me, recommended him. I had a good chat with John last night and he said he thought he would handle the ground even if he isn't in love with it. He said he had done plenty on that type of surface. I wouldn't do much on grass but he was happy enough to run him, so I was happy then."
