Meow secures her place in Ascot
Johnny Murtagh was enjoying a good evening when recording an opening race treble when Meow ran out an easy winner of the I.T.B.A. Southern Region Supporting Irish Breeders Maiden.
Murtagh made all aboard the 1/5 favourite and the pair kicked clear from over one furlong out and kept on strongly to score by an impressive seven lengths.
Winning trainer David Wachman said afterwards: “She’s a nice filly and she’s very fast. She got a bit tired in Dundalk the last day.”
“She’s improved a lot since her first run. She’s very mature, strong and fast.”
“We hope to go for the Queen Mary in Ascot now.”
