Laugh A Minute completed a brilliant spell for Ado McGuinness today, winning the Curragh's DMG Media Handicap, 21 minutes after the trainer's A Case Of You landed Meydan's Group 1 Al Quoz Sprint.

Prix de l'Abbaye winner A Case Of You picked up a neat £666,666.67 for another famous success at Meydan, under jockey Ronan Whelan, and back in Kildare, Champion Jockey Colin Keane steered Laugh A Minute to a length and a half win over Swift Flight

Afterwards McGuinness' assistant Stephen Thorne reported “it’s been a great few minutes - words can’t describe it for the yard.

“Ado deserves a lot of credit and the whole team has worked hard for this day. Preparations for the whole team have gone well this week.”

Regarding Laugh A Minute, he added “this horse was well weighted to win a handicap after what he did last autumn. He needs plenty of cover and to be produced late. Colin gave him a great ride.

“We’ll see how he comes out of it. He might get an entry for the Cork Stakes race at Cork next week which he won last year. We’ll see how he is during the week.”
