Owner/breeder Liam Queally's Shangrilama (5/2f) followed up a November success at Dundalk today to maintain her unbeaten two-race all-weather record, in the Now Racing Every Wednesday Nursery.
The Profitable-filly was a 16/1 maiden winner over seven furlongs at the Co Louth venue in November and today faced 13 rivals including former stablemate Pub Talk which had been bought from Meade's yard, for €20,000, following a Claimer win on November 25.
Today both horses were separated by just a half-length, with Meade later revealing "I'm thrilled as I actually thought that the other lad (runner-up Pub Talk) might beat her because he worked with her at home and they worked together.
"Shangrilama probably doesn't kill herself in work and probably doesn't kill herself in the race, but it is nice to win two in a row with her anyway.”
