- Meade continues his good run
Meade continues his good run
The Noel Meade trained Hotel Hilamar put in good display of jumping when taking the Rock Of Cashel Beginners Chase in the hands of Paul Carberry.
Carberry who was prominent for most sent the son of Flemensfirth to the front approaching two out and kept on well for a length and half win over Tipolino
Winning trainer Meade said afterwards: “That was a very good performance. He’s had a lot of problems with his wind and he’s had two operations and I’m not certain he’s 100% but he got away with it with a tongue tie today.”
“That’s our third novice chase winner in the last three racing days. It’s unusual for us to have more novice chaser’s than novice hurdler’s.”
Meade also said of Harchibald: “He’s in good form and he jumps well enough at home. He’ll possibly go for the Graded Novice Chase at Punchestown next week.”
