McNamara seen to good effect
Edward O'Grady saddled 5/1 shot Forest Leaves to win The Grand National Trial Handicap Chase (Grade C), ridden by Andrew McNamara and owned by the Legal Access Syndicate.
McNamara settled his mount in behind the leaders, led from 8 out, left clear from 5 out, slight mistake 2 out and kept on well to hold off the Tom O'Leary trained Tawnies by 8 lengths.
Winning trainer O'Grady said afterwards, "That was a nice way to break his maiden over fences. The next stop will be the 4 mile."
