Trainer Robbie McNamara registered his second successive winner at a summer festival when his Dasmyhoss (9/4jf) landed the concluding Brennan's Pharmacy INH Bumper at Tramore today, winning well under jockey Barry O’Neill.
Champion Point To Point Jockey O’Neill had few anxious moments on the Paul McMahon owned gelding who scored a ready win over Aroundthebridge
McNamara was registering his fifth career winner and his third at a festival, having also visited the winners' enclosure this month at Galway and last December at Leopardstown's Christmas festival.
Following Dasmyhoss' win, he commented “that was lovely and he’ll improve a lot from it.
“He had a hard run at Leopardstown the first day when he ran a very good race but it just left its mark on him.
He seems to be better after a break now and I wanted to find an easy target with him to give him confidence. We’ll head away with him over hurdles now - he mightn’t be the toughest in the world, but he has plenty ability. He stays well and I’d love a bit of nicer ground for him.”
