- McNamara and Days a serious combo
McNamara and Days a serious combo
He got in tight to the last but there was no problem for Ancient Days under Andrew McNamara at Tramore

Ancient Days was a local winner in the Summerhill Shopping Centre, Tramore Beginners Chase but it was predominantly the layers that were smiling following the 11/1 shot's success under Andrew McNamara for trainer John Queally.
In the familiar Annette Mee silks, McNamara gave the Daylami a dashing ride on just the six-year-old's second encounter with the larger obstacles.
In the words of McNamara "we missed the last badly" but well-backed favourite Raajih was never going to bridge the gap on the run-in and Ancient Days crossed the line two lengths to the good.
Queally disclosed: "I just got back from France this morning and it's nice to have a winner at the local track.
"Andrew certainly didn't give him a married man's ride!
"Jumping won it for him." (DM & EM)
