McNamara Back to Form with a Double
Eric McNamara saddled a 152/1 double in the first two races at Killarney, the brace being initiated by Hot Port
This winning pointer made his first start over fences on the racecourse proper a winning one in the Christy Lucey (Transport) Beginners Chase under Barry Geraghty.
McNamara, said, "He was always a fair horse over hurdles and Barry got him into a super rhythm and he jumped from fence to fence. He loves genuine good ground and he will go for a winners of one or a handicap at Galway or Tralee."
Kevin Coleman was in the plate when Secret Squirrel caused a 16/1 surprise in the Ladbrokes.com Handicap Chase. The Limerick handler commented on this fellow, "He won a couple of hurdles and then he lost his way. He will stick to left-handed tracks as he jumps violently to the left and he will probably head to Tralee."
