McManus & Walsh complete Naas trebles
The Gatechecker and Mark Walsh lead over the last

Owner J.P. McManus and retained jockey Mark Walsh completed a treble at Naas today as the Michael Hourigan trained The Gatechecker ran out the well backed 5/2f winner of the Panoramic Restaurant Handicap Chase.
McManus and Walsh were earlier successful with the Gordon Elliott trained Sutton Manor and the Tony Martin trained Anibale Fly and completed their score with The Gatechecker who himself led home a McManus 1-2, when beating the similarly owned Fairy Island
Beef Or Salmon’s trainer Hourigan was on lead-up duties and following the race stated “he (Mark Walsh) said he didn’t jump a fence in behind but when he pulled him out he just lit up. I don’t know where we go from here but he wants a bit further.”
He then quipped “they (staff) all want the weekends off and I’ll do the same at the point-to-point tomorrow; I’m well able to do it though!”
