The J.P. McManus owned Aa Bee See was the well backed winner of the Christmas Parties December 16th Handicap (div 1) at Fairyhouse today, scoring for father and son, trainer and jockey Niall and Tom Madden.
The four year old son of Holy Roman Emperor had gained a previous course win over hurdles at the Co Meath venue last April, when springing a 14/1 surprise, and was today backed from 7/1 in the morning and from 5/1 on track in to a 4/1 shot.
In the race, jockey Tom Madden produced Aa Bee See from well off the pace to lead in the home straight before scoring a length and three parts win over A Place Apart
Afterwards trainer Niall ‘Boots” Madden said “he goes well on the ground and will continue to mix it with hurdles.”
