McDonogh wins with Bolger's Cothrom Na Feinne
Dessie McDonogh's Cothrom Na Feinne caused a 33/1 shock when winning the 28th June Open Fourball at Gowran Park Handicap at Gowran today, half an hour after his son Declan McDonogh rode the opening winner at the venue.
Cothrom Na Feinne, under Willie Supple and carrying the colours of trainer Jim Bolger's wife Jackie, made all for a game length win over Keen Look
Trainer McDonogh later stated "that's Willie Supple's first winner for me since a horse called Majestic Wolf won at Tramore in the early 1980s!"
He added "that was a fair performance by Cothrom Na Feinne. He's had two hurdle runs already , jumps beautifully but won't run over hurdles on firm ground."
