McDonogh shines on Gargano
Gargano benefitted from an enterprising ride from Declan McDonogh when claiming the 1m2f handicap at Dundalk.
Joanna Morgan 's charge streaked clear of his field in the early stages and still had a healthy advantage before the turn.
McDonogh had kept enough up his sleeve and his mount stuck on well in the closing stages to post a three-and-a-half length victory over Try Freedom
"He loves to bowl along in front and it was a great ride. He didn't go too quick on him after all!" said Morgan afterwards.
"He's in a 1m2f conditions race here on Wednesday and will come back for that."
