McDonogh records double
Declan McDonogh enjoyed a fine evening at Limerick when he recorded a double after winning The Live Music After Racing Maiden aboard the James Nash trained Splurge
Nash commented afterwards, "It opens up other options for him now, the handicapper has him over hurdles. We'll go novice chasing with him in the Autumn and we may look at The GPT Amateur Handicap at Galway, ground permitting. It's great that he's after winning as he has been unlucky during the year."
McDonogh's earlier winner came aboard the Eddie Lynam trained Pussyfooting after winning The Patrickswell Community Council Handicap.
