McDonogh doubles up on Saajidah
Declan McDonogh notched a quick double when Saajidah claimed the 1m2f fillies handicap at Roscommon.
The Kevin Prendergast-trained three-year-old tracked the leader, Gipsy Countess throughout before taking it up a furlong-and-a-half from home.
She kept on strongly in the closing stages to post a three-and-a-half length victory over Articilitis trained by McDonogh's father Des.
"She won well. She stays well and didn't mind the ground," said Prendergast.
"I'll probably enter her for the Cesarewitch and see what weight she gets. She'll probably get a hike for this."
