Timeless Piece beats Not Even Maybe

Timeless Piece kept on well to open her account in the apprentice handicap at Gowran tonight.
Jessica Harrington 's charge blew the start on her handicap debut at Tipperary 13 days ago and was slightly tardy again today.
Scott McCullagh held his mount up in the mile contest before delivering her with a strong run to lead over a furlong from home.
She always looked to be holding Not Even Maybe in the closing stages to secure a half length win. The 6/1 winner had been as short as 7/4 this morning.
Assistant Kate Harrington said:- “She fell out of the gates in Tipperary and her chance was gone.
“Scott said she ran very green again today, hung left and hung right, but he was confident enough on her. He’s worth 10lb in these apprentice races because he’s so strong.
“We had her in at Sligo last Sunday but the ground went soft and she had a wide draw. Hopefully there is another handicap in her - she’s a nice filly.”
