Willie McCreery is looking forward to getting Self Belief back in action in the Plusvital Devoy Stakes at Naas this afternoon.
The Make Believe gelding won two of his three starts last season, ending up with victory in the Listed Trigo Stakes at Leopardstown in October.
He has to give weight to his seven rivals in today's ten furlong listed contest where he is the top rated performer with an official mark of 107.
“He needs a tiny bit more experience in racing and I hope to step him up a bit. We’ll get him started and teach him a bit on Sunday,” said McCreery.
“He’ll love the ground and his mother, Fact Or Folklore, loved it as well.
“He’d only three runs last year. He won his maiden in June and then we ran him in Listowel because there was no winners’ race for him all year and then he won the Listed race (Trigo Stakes) in Leopardstown.”
