Fairy Wings stayed on best in the closing stages to land the finale at Gowran Park this afternoon for Willie McCreery.
Nathan Crosse produced the Rajj filly to lead inside the final furlong in the extended mile-three contest and she held the rallying 3/1 favourite Paradise Lost late on to secure a half-length success.
The 12/1 winner had picked up prize-money in her previous three outings in handicap company and made the breakthrough today.
McCreery said:- “(My wife) Amanda bred her so we’re delighted — she is Mogwli’s little sister.
“She’s had a few little setbacks as a young individual but she seemed to fight well there and she liked the ground.”
