Maybe shows her star quality
Maybe made it three wins from three when landing the feature Group 3 Silver Flash Stakes at Leopardstown by a neck from the staying on La Collina
The Chesham winner at Royal Ascot took up the pace a furlong and a half out and was pushed out by Joseph O’Brien to hold the fast-finishing runner-up and land the odds of 2/7 favouritism.
The two-year-old daughter of Galileo brought up a double on the card for father and son combination Aidan and Joseph O’Brien.
Jockey Joseph, who put up three pounds overweight, said: “She’s very good. She wasn’t doing a stroke.
“They didn’t go very quick in front and then they sprinted. It didn’t suit her but she still won easily.
“She’s as good as there is.”
Kevin Prendergast’s La Collina, who had won her maiden at Limerick, took the runner-up berth at 10/1 with English raider Gooseberry Fool (12/1) from the Sir Mark Prescott yard took third a further two-and-a-half lengths back .
Boylesports kept Maybe unchanged at 7/1 favourite for next year's English 1,000 Guineas.
