The Eddie Lynam trained Balmont Mast has moved past the half-million euro earnings-mark in recent months and today provided promising seven pounds claimer Oisin Orr with his fourth career win, in the Bar One Racing Mourne Handicap at Dundalk today.
Orr, 17 and from Donegal, needed to display plenty strength on the winner, eventually forcing him to the front close home for a neck win over Have A Nice Day
Orr later stated "he stuck at it well and he still had a bit in hand.
"He was just trying to lug in behind the other horse (Have A Nice Day) but he picked up well and won nicely."
The win was Balmont Mast's seventh in total, including two Listed wins, and the Meydan regular has now amassed approximately E600,000 in prizemoney.
