Martin on the mark
The Andrew Thornton ridden Lucky Spring defied top weight in the Fairyhouse Members Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse today, scoring a 14th winner of the year for his trainer Pat Martin.
Afterwards Martin stated “Lucky Spring is settling better now than he used to and he’s got a great attitude to racing. Andrew gave him a great ride.
“Raymond Moore, from Monasterboice, Co Louth who unfortunately wasn’t able to come racing as he is in Portugal. The win gets us off the 13 winner mark for the year – we’ve been stuck on that for nearly a month but it’s great to get another winner.”
