Marnane inform at Leopardstown
Tipperary based trainer Dave Marnane enjoyed a great afternoon after saddling the first and second of The Leopardstown Pavillion September Handicap making it his 20th winner of the season.
Seamie Heffernan who rode the winner Rain Rush in the colours of Ms Melanie Marnane and Ms Alya Alsowaidi raced his mount on the inside rail and stayed on well to lead close home holding off stablemate Maundy Money by ? length.
Marnane said, "We were hoping that the two had live chances we couldn't split them at home. The second horse was probably a fraction unlucky Rain Rush got all the splits. Both will run again this season."
