Marnane and Casey score with Hampstead
The David Marnane trained Hampstead Heath has taken to chasing very well as he recorded his second victory over the bigger obstacles when taking the O'Keeffe, O'Shea, O'Connor Novice Chase at Killarney this evening.
Promising amateur rider James Casey produced his mount with a well-timed run to lead at the last.
The pair soon drew clear to record a seven length win over market principals Warcraft and Gonbeyondrecall.
A delighted Marnane said afterwards: "He did the same thing as the last day. I can't get over how quick he is over his fences, he's such a natural jumper."
"I don't know what the plan is now, we'll have to wait and see what the handicapper does. "
"We'll give him a little break now and freshen him up. He's a quirky customer and he needs plenty of light at his fences."
