Marky makes it two for Hughes
Dessie Hughes saddled a quick double when Marky Bob ran out an easy winner of the ICA Centenary Celebration Maiden Hurdle at Kilbeggan.
Roger Loughran did the steering this time and made every yard on the 9/10 favourite.
He always had too much in hand for his rivals and eventually came home a cosy six-length winner over Sir Whinstone
Hughes had no concerns about the quick ground for his charge:-
"I thought he'd go on it. He's a Turtle Island and a lot of people say they want soft but any I've had go on it. He moves that way.
"He needs to settle and could be a nice horse if he settles. It's a hard track to settle on and he needs a more galloping one. We'll keep him going over the summer."
