Marfach Makes his Experience Count
Marfach may have been weak in the market in comparison with his rival, Ejteyaaz but out on the track that counted for little as he prevailed by a length and a quarter.
On heavy ground the experience of a couple of runs was always going to count for plenty and inside the final furlong Marfach (second last time in first time cheek-pieces and again carrying those aids here) had too much stamina for the first-timer, Ejteyaaz (9/4 into 6/4 favourite).
Jim Bolger trains the American-bred son of the Brazilian-bred stallion, Leroidesanimaux for Ennistown Stud and his wife Jackie. Kevin Manning could afford to sit up on the juvenile near the line.
