Maree gets going late under Cooper
Raz De Maree showed stamina is his forte when collecting in the Boole Handicap Hurdle at Cork. Let Yourself Go made a bold bid for a 'last to first' success when rounding the field turning for home in the three-mile contest.
He still had the advantage two out but the field closed at the last and Raz De Maree came to challenge.
Dessie Hughes' charge got the final flight wrong but soon recovered and powered home to lead in the closing stages for a cosy three-parts victory under Bryan Cooper.
"He's an out-and-out stayer. The race turned into a bit of a sprint and I thought the pace might catch him out but he did well to win after getting in tight at the last," said Hughes.
"He'll go for the three-mile novice handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse on Easter Sunday."
