The Liam Cusack trained Magestic Oak ran out 20 length win of The Clonmel Thanks MH Designs Beginners Chase under Paddy Flood.

Flood made all on the Bering gelding, clear halfway, reduced advantage approaching straight, joined after 2 out and left clear last when the Tony Martin trained Another Ambition fell at the last.

Winning trainer Cusack said afterwards, "We were hoping the rain came before the race but it worked out well thank god and he will be put away now for the season."
