Magical Vision recorded a fourth career win when taking the Newbridge Silverware Sprint Handicap in good style at the Curragh.
Trained locally by Aidan Howard for his partner Alana Insole, the lightly raced seven-year-old mare travelled sweetly under Chris Hayes before being asked for her effort a furlong out.
The 100/30 shot quickened up nicely on the soft to heavy ground and kept on well to beat Two Stars by a length and a quarter with topweight Laugh A Minute a further length and a half away in third.
Howard said, “We were hopeful today. I was a little bit concerned about the ground being tacky, but she seemed to handle it well.
“She travelled very well, and I think five is definitely her trip.
“We’ll keep an eye on the weather now and she won’t run on quick ground.”
