Natalia Lupini and Wayne Lordan teamed up for a brace of winners in Naas when Magic Charm landed the second division of the mile handicap.
The well backed 11/4 favourite was there to be shot at by the pack in the final quarter of a mile but responded generously to increase his advantage by the furlong marker.
He was well in charge in the closing stages and powered home by two and a quarter lengths from Purple Gown (20/1). Morning Approach was another length and a half back in third at 9/2.
Lupini, who was saddling her first double at odds of 78/1, said: “He’d a good solid run the last day and has proved to be competitive at this level before today. All the conditions were right so we were hopeful.
“All the horses seem to be in good form so hopefully it will continue.
“Wayne said a mile or a mile and two he will have no problems. He likes nice safe ground.” Blairmayne (20/1) was also successful in race two for Lupini and Lordan. Additional reporting by Alan Magee
