Magen destroys rivals in opener
Magen's Star proved much too strong for her rivals in the opening Boylesports Handicap at the Curragh today, running out a most impressive victor.
Billy Lee went to the front before the straight on the Tommy Stack-trained daughter of Galileo and she powered away from her rivals over two furlongs from home.
Lee was looking around for non-existent dangers in the final furlong as she cruised to a 12-length win.
"She likes the ground and will probably get a bit further," said Stack. " I'm delighted for the owner who has come over from America."
