Macville scores for Neville
Askeaton trainer Patrick Neville recorded his second winner of the festival when Macville came home in front of the M L Lynch Engineering Ltd Maiden Hurdle.
Tom Doyle who was doing the steering produced the 8/1 shot to lead approaching the last and stayed on well on the run-in for an easy win.
A delighted Neville said afterwards: “I’m delighted with the week we’re having, things are getting back to normal.”
“We’ve always thought a lot of this horse well Tom [Doyle] did but she just wasn’t performing but fair play to the owner Tony McNamara for sticking with her, it paid off today.”
“I bred her myself so it was nice to see her win and hopefully it’s the start of many.”
