Maal nails Table late in claimer
Maal has been a good servant to the David Marnane yard and he gained his fifth win when landing the Sligo Claiming Race under David Casey.
The son of Mozart got up on the line to short head Table Forty Six King Of Aran (12/1 in the morning into 9/2) finished a further three lengths back in third.
Marnane said of the Come Home Sober Syndicate's seven-year-old: "David came up for the one ride and he was fantastic on him. I wanted a National Hunt jockey on him as I didn't want him carrying dead lead.
"He could go to Killarney now for a similar race and he has the option of trying jumps again too."
There were no claims.
