The consistent Teddy Boy got his head in front again when repeating last year's victory in the Arkle Bar Handicap at Navan.
Eddie Lynam 's charge had been placed on seven occasions from eleven runs this season and gained a deserved victory in the five furlong contest.
Chris Hayes produced the 4/1 shot wide and late as he got up near the line to secure a neck success over Seven Worlds
“We had to wait 12 months for him to win again,” said Lynam.
“He was due his turn and I was just starting to wonder had he missed it. I finally put something on his head with the cheekpieces.
“I actually think he's a genuine type of horse but I put the cheekpieces on eventually, after getting fined €65 for forgetting to put them on. That was first time cheekpieces and they worked. Not a bad day.
“On bad ground like this five is a shade short for him and five-and-a-half is probably ideal.
“There is one race left for him in the Curragh and we'll go for that, he doesn't like Dundalk.”
It was a double on the card for Lynam following the earlier victory of Tide Of Time
