Eddie Lynam completed a quick double when saddling a one-two in the six-furlong maiden at Fairyhouse.
25/1 shot Future Icon cut out the running in Aileen Lynam's colours before being claimed inside the final furlong by Captain Power
The 2/1 joint-favourite had looked under pressure two furlongs from home but picked up well, under Robbie Downey, to claim his stable-mate inside the final furlong.
He went on to record a length-and-three-quarter victory as Future Icon clung on for second from the fast-finishing Prance
The Sabina Power-owned winner was gaining a deserved victory having just been denied by a short-head on his last run at Naas.
"He deserved to win a little race," said Lynam.
"Robbie rides him out in the morning. He's a bit of a nervy individual but Robbie gets on well with him.
"Every time he gives his best. Some people were questioning him the last day but he got a belt across the snout!
"They are a lucky set of colours. He'll go back for a handicap now." Tadaany the other 2/1 joint-favourite, tried to challenge at the two pole but had no more to give inside the final furlong, eventually finishing fourth.
