Lucky Wish scores for Griffin/Geraghty
Eoin Griffin's Lucky Wish overcame a set of frustrating placed efforts, including a good third in this year's Galway Hurdle, when proving the length winner of the Ballybin Beginners Chase at Fairyhouse today.
Ridden by Barry Geraghty, the son of Alhaarth needed to battle on the run-in, to eventually see off the challenge of Gonebeyondrecall
Afterwards Griffin stated “Lucky Wish had to dig deep to win today and that was pleasing to see. Good ground is the key to him and we'll see what way the weather goes before making plans now – he may head to Britain for better ground.”
