Low Sun leads home Mullins one-two in last

The Willie Mullins-trained Low Sun made a successful return to the level when running out a convincing winner of the concluding two-mile handicap at the Curragh.
Colin Keane bounced out to dispute on the 100/30 favourite and settled in behind Neverushacon when that rival went on after six furlongs.
Low Sun was produced to challenge passing the two pole and went on over a furlong from home.
Stable-mate Laws Of Spin came through to chase him home but could only get within two-and-a-half lengths.
The winner had taken a €100,000 handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse in April and was making his first start on the level for Mullins having won on the Flat in France as a three-year-old.
“He's very straight-forward. Willie and Ruby said he has loads of ability but he can be a little bit lazy so be good and hard on him,” said Keane.
“We were getting it our own way for a bit of the way and then Conor (Hoban) went on and it actually worked out lovely to get a lead for a little bit.
“When we picked them up he went away and did it well. I'm sure they'll have plenty of fun with him.”
It was a first and last race double on the card for Keane following the earlier victory of Viadera
