The run of winning market leaders had to come to an end at some stage, but Ondamoura s success (4s into 7/2) hardly gave the layers much relief as he completed a double for Wayne Lordan at Dundalk by taking the concluding second division of the Crowne Plaza Hotel Dundalk Handicap.
Ruby Walsh went close to bringing the famous Dorans Pride colours of Tom Doran to the number one spot at Punchestown on second placer Woodford Island but Lordan got the green and red stars home here by a head on Ondamoura.
Lordan had earlier scored on Thomond O'Mara's Hatton Cross and here his mount fought off Invincible Don to take the spoils for trainer Tom Hogan.
"Tom thought he was spot on today. He had the form and he had to battle. He deserved that win," said Lordan.
Anastasia O'Brien, rider of Along The Shore (favourite here, finished 4th) trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount hung badly in the straight.
F.M. Berry, rider of Tom Mann trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stopped travelling in the straight.
