Wayne Lordan completed a Naas double on Sziget (10/1) in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden.
Earlier successful on Giselles Thunder for Gavin Cromwell, Lordan did the steering on Sziget for John Grogan.
Up in trip the Footstepsinthesand filly (sire of the previous winner too, Deputy Sandy made it third time lucky.
She asserted inside the final furlong to defeat Emporio by three and three parts of a length.
“She did it well and we're very happy,” said Grogan, whose previous winner was Rapid Reaction here in the Joe McGrath in September 2018, from small representation since.
“I'm not sure whether we'll go for a nursery or maybe a little bit of black-type.
“I'd say she'll stay a trip next year, she might get the mile. We'll wait and see.”
