Wayne Lordan has had a productive couple of weeks and Exuma (7/2) was another winner for him in the concluding one mile maiden.
Aidan O’Brien’s Galileo colt, rated 76, sat second to the 9/4 favourite Offiah before heading that one over a furlong out. From there he stayed on well on to account for the market leader by three quarters of a length.
The winner is a full-brother to 1m4f Listed winner Curly.
After his treble at Listowel last Sunday, Lordan was completing a double on this occasion after Cape Islay rsquo;s 22/1 victory earlier.
“He was very straightforward, he had good runs in maidens and showed again today he is consistent,” said Lordan.
“He likes that good ground and it was too soft for him the last day (when finishing twelfth) at Gowran.
"He had a good look when I got there, so the next day we might delay a little bit longer. He went to the line well and going 1m2f won't be a problem."
