Knight's Parade gained his first Irish win for his new trainer Gordon Elliott when landing the concluding Dan Cowman Memorial Handicap at Tramore today, completing a double on the day for jockey Wayne Lordan.

A three times winner in Britain when trained by Amanda Perrett, the gelding had finished in the money on all bar one of his six Irish starts in 2014 but made no mistake today, beating Wood Breizh by two and three parts of a length.

Afterwards Lordan stated “Gordon (Elliott) likes this horse and he thought he would run a big race here. He quickened up well to get to the horse in front and won well. He ran well in Galway over a shorter trip but he was just staying at it and two miles was perfect for him today."
